Skeleton Canoe
Presented in partnership with Texas Performing Arts & University of Texas at Austin College of Fine Arts Visiting Artist Endowment
Skeleton Canoe follows the story of young Nawbin, an Anishinaabe youth searching for their place in the world. After mistakenly breaking their family’s canoe paddle in a fit of emotions, they flee their home and set out on a journey that takes them along the water to discover truths and a way back to themselves. Blending puppetry, storytelling, music, and multimedia design, this visually striking performance draws young audiences into a world where land, water, and family are interconnected.
