Golden Hornet Project, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit presenting and commissioning organization founded by composer/musicians Graham Reynolds, leader of the avant-jazz-rock-classical ensemble The Golden Arm Trio, and Peter Stopschinski, of the radically experimental Brown Whörnet.

Since 1999 GHP has presented over 60 concerts of indie classical music by more than 40 composers from non-academic musical backgrounds in underground rock, jazz, electronic and hip hop and has world premiered 14 new orchestral works and countless chamber pieces. GHP was listed on Rolling Stone’s Top 10 Under the Radar and won 2012 Best Symphonic Performance in the Austin Critic’s Table Awards.

Texas Choral Consort
Texas Choral Consort (TCC) has been providing Austin audiences with high-quality performances for the past 16 years. The ensemble is unique among choruses in the U.S. in that it offers non-auditioned singers of all ages and backgrounds an intensive and rewarding performance experience.

Recently nominated for Best Choral Performance by the Austin Critics Table Awards, TCC brings a wide variety of musical programming to central Texas. Founded in 1997 by Dr. Barry Scott Williamson, TCC has maintained an active presence in Austin’s rich choral scene. The ensemble produces several large-scale works per year, has undertaken four international tours and has collaborated regularly with some of Austin’s most treasured artistic institutions, including Austin Chamber Music Center, Austin New Music Co-op, Line Upon Line, Convergence, Golden Hornet Project, Austin Symphony, and many more.

Under the artistic directorship of Brent Baldwin, TCC has expanded its programming beyond the traditional choral cannon. In addition to its productions of the Bach Magnificat, the Haydn Creation, and its recent critically acclaimed production of the Brahms German Requiem, TCC regularly presents world premiere works, including new compositions by Russell Reed, Donald Grantham, Graham Reynolds, Peter Stopschinski and Pulitzer Prize-winner Caroline Shaw. In 2011, TCC collaborated with Austin New Music Co-op in the North American premiere of Cornelius Cardew’s seven-hour epic, The Great Learning. This year, TCC was recognized by the Austin Critics Table Awards for its role in 2012’s Happy Birthday John Cage extravaganza.
