Elizabeth Doss

Elizabeth Doss directs, writes, and performs in Austin, Texas. She has worked with many outstanding theatre companies including Zach: Present Laughter, Physical Plant: Not Clown (toured to Soho Rep) Salvage Vanguard: Cry Pitch Carrols and Americamisfit, Rude Mechs: Dionysus in ’69 (toured to Princeton University and New York Live Arts) and B. Beaver Animation.

She is a founding member of the theatre collective Paper Chairs which has produced her original musicals, Murder Ballad Murder Mystery (toured Marfa, San Antonio, Fort Worth, and the New Orleans Fringe Festival) and Hill Country Underbelly and for which she co-directed Woodwork and The Suicide. Paper Chairs will also produce her next play, Mast at Salvage Vanguard Theatre in July 2015.

Elizabeth Doss has also conceived and created two interactive literature experiences: Writer’s Room and Road Show: Four Way Stop which were both featured in the Fusebox Festival in 2012 and 2013.  She is a first-year MFA playwriting candidate at the University of Texas.
