For our new research project and festival, Live in America, we asked artists local to the communities we’re working with to describe the places they call home. In response, they created a phenomenal constellation of images, sounds, recipes, and letters, which can all be found at the LIA website.

Writer Imani Mixon penned an incredible love letter to Detroit for Live in America and recently read it on film. She generously shared the video with us, to share with you.
