DICKIE BEAU

Dickie Beau is a pioneer of playback performance, emerging from the drag tradition of lip-synching, which he has taken out of the nightclubs and into hitherto uncharted territory. Dickie’s theatre shows include Blackouts (Soho Theatre/national touring), LOST in TRANS (Southbank Centre/City of Women Festival, Slovenia), and Camera Lucida (Barbican). He was winner of the Oxford Samuel Beckett Theatre Trust Award 2014, recipient of a Jardin d’Europe contemporary dance award 2013, and winner of Best Alternative Performer in the London Cabaret Awards 2012.
