Division of Wonder

Division of Wonder collides the language of installation art, pop-up architecture, minimalist design, experimental video, site-specific music and cheap everyday materials into a surprising whole of story and experience. They have designed and built immersive large-scale installations for TEDx, Cyrus One, Anti-Defamation League, GSD&M, Texas Health Resources, Compass Learning, Incubation Station and Austin’s African American Cultural Heritage District. They have also done event design and global strategy work for X-Games and Microsoft Research. At home in traditional art circles as well, DOW was one of only ten featured artists at America’s largest new media art show, Dallas Aurora Convergence of Light 2013. The company was born from an unlikely, yet fruitful collaboration between two very differently talented people.

Jeff Sharpe is an award-winning architect and designer, having designed and produced large-scale public buildings around the world. Jeff seizes upon the connective tissue between design, anthropology, sociology, and storytelling to help clients, major corporations, educational institutions, and nonprofits understand how systemic thinking and intentional design help re-envision traditional boundaries of learning, productivity, and creativity. As a design consultant he has done work for Nestlé, Sprint, Energizer, Minute Maid, Buick, Donna Karan, and the NFL.

Bill Burgess has spent 20 years in Los Angeles at the forefront of music, video and new media production. A nationally recognized software expert, he was recruited by Apple Inc. to drive innovation into their music creation applications. As a futurist and media design consultant, Bill has done strategy work for Best Buy, Southwest Airlines, Motorola, Hilton and JCPenney. A successful musician with deep roots in experimental media, Bill has toured on three continents, produced and engineered nearly 20 records, composed music for NBC, Disney and Apple and staged multiple video/art installations in Los Angeles, Boston and Denver.
