Emily Vorspan
Emily grew up in New York where she began dancing as a young teen. She moved to Austin in 1979 when she began participating in Deborah Hay’s large group performance workshops. She became a member of The Deborah Hay Dance Co from 1980-1985.
In the years to follow she presented her own choreography projects, married, became a parent and began a twenty two year career as a preschool teacher. Retired now, she continues developing her ceramic work and practices Tai Chi with Heloise Gold.
