Sibyl Kempson and The Pig Pile
Sibyl Kempson (Playwright) lives and makes theater plays in NYC and the Pocono Mountains. She is a member of New Dramatists, a MacDowell Colony fellow, and a graduate of the Brooklyn College MFA program taught by Mac Wellman. Current projects include collaborations with Elevator Repair Service (Fondly, Collette Richland), at the Walker Center in Minneapolis in May 2013 and premiering in Fall 2014 in NYC; and an as-yet unknown collaboration with New York City Players at the Abrons Arts Center also in the Fall of 2014. Deep thanks to Todd London and New Dramatists, and to the ever-lovin and all-seein Pig Pile.
The Austin Pig Pile is the nickname for the three year collaboration of Austin artists and theater companies coming together for the Full Stage USA – Austin project created and sponsored by New Dramatists in NYC with funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, National Performance Network, City of Austin Cultural Arts Division, and the Texas Commission on the Arts. In collaboration with Scriptworks, Fusebox Festival, Physical Plant, Rude Mechs, Rubber Repertory, and Salvage Vanguard Theater.
