Unity of opposites

Blasto & Ernesto Walker

Unity of opposites “… a situation in which the existence or identity of a thing depends on the co-existence of at least two conditions which are opposite to each other, yet dependent on each other and presupposing each other, within a field of tension”. Conflict, reflections about the technological development as an interface between reality and our search, and the systemic component underlying in the constant reorganization of factors resulting by a unilateral intervention. Reflections, physical and visible manifestations through the ever-changing state of things and reality. The Dilation of time and malleability of all events that unfold in unison. Two artists, geometry, mechanics, visible and invisible forces, one space.

From Fusebox In this two-person exhibition, Blasto and Ernesto Walker, both based in Monterrey, Mexico, investigate the conflicts with technological developments that function as an interface between reality and our search for meaning.  They take a close look at the systemic components underlying constant reorganizations and the resulting factors of unilateral intervention. Unity of opposites: the combination of two artists, geometry, mechanics, visible and invisible forces in one space.
