Elizabeth Chiles + Julie Nathanielsz

Elizabeth Chiles graduated from Columbia University with a BA in Art History and San Francisco Art with her MFA in Photography. In 2007 she returned to Austin and has shown her work broadly throughout Texas and in various parts of the country, including The Contemporary Austin, testsite, The Long Center, Fotofest, and The Southwest School of Art. Her solo show, Over Time, at Pump Project was nominated for best solo show in Austin in 2015/16. Elizabeth taught theory and photography at UT Austin, Texas State, and Southwestern University for 6 years.

Julie Nathanielsz, MFA, is a dance artist eternally interested in connections between sensory perception and design, or how we are composing ourselves in life, art, and culture from the ground of bodily intelligence. She has lived in Austin since 1996, creating, teaching, and performing in a diversity of communities of movers. From 2007-2014 she directed The Meeting Point, which began life as an inquiry into real-time ensemble performance. Nathanielsz was a co-founder of mixed-ability project Body Shift, and co-producer of the celebrated Gold Show|Rose Show. She was a Fulbright Scholar in Indonesia, 2016-2017.
