The Semi-Modulars

The Semi-Modulars is an electronic music group made up of students in the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired’s synthesis and sound design class.  Founded in 2013, the group utilizes analog and digital synthesizers, drum machines and samplers to produce unique original compositions.  Each school year the group writes, records and releases a new album., (available in both physical and digital formats).  Students not only learn the basics of synthesis, but also the mechanics of how a band operates, from creating and selling merchandise, booking and promoting liver performances, and managing expenses and profits.
