ZIMMERFREI

ZimmerFrei is a collective formed by artist and filmmaker Anna de Manincor, sound designer Massimo Carozzi, and artist and director Anna Rispoli. The group has two headquarters, one in Brussels and one in Bologna, where the group was founded in 2000. ZimmerFrei’s artistic practice mixes different languages and formats: video and documentary films, sounds and environmental installations, photo sequences, performances, participatory workshops, and public art projects. ZimmerFrei engages with urban and rural areas that are going through a process of transformation in which cities and temporary communities are formed and destroyed, exploring the boundaries between public and private territories.
