A DJ set that explores belonging, and its opposite, alienation, through sequences of distorted samples, house, and dembow. inquiry / encuentro yields an environment of improvised movement and interpersonal self-expression, encouraged by unfolding encounters with collapsed language and repetitive sound.
From Fusebox We first saw the visual-artist-turned-DJ ANG perform at our annual 60-in-Sixty event this past summer, where she performed an incredible, bumping DJ set, with a bag over her head. Without being able to see, she felt the music, and the audience did too. This visual-artist-turned-DJ will get you moving with an amalgam of danceable tracks inspired by the contingencies of the club setting, accompanied by visuals from artist Itamar Benitez.
