The Way of Water: Onion Creek – El Camino de Agua: Onion Creek
A performance featuring the Onion Creek watershed and the work of people who steward it.
The Way of Water is a global arts-based project bringing people together around water challenges. In Austin, Forklift is partnering with the Watershed Protection Department and residents of the Onion Creek watershed to present The Way of Water: Onion Creek.
Audience members will begin with an immersive audio walk and then witness a performance on a restored urban floodplain. The dance will feature municipal workers and community members who steward the watershed. Directed by Allison Orr & Krissie Marty. Production Design by Stephen Pruitt. Music Direction by Graham Reynolds with commissioned composers Vanessa Burden, Orion Garcia and DJGL.
The Way of Water: Onion Creek begins with a 15 minute audio walk. You’ll need to download the Echoes Interactive App onto your Apple or Android phone, to experience the soundtrack. Cell service is very limited at the performance site, please download before arriving.
